** Suzie has been saved!! Do you have room in your home and your heart for
this dear little girl (below)?

**STOP PRESS..................18th April
This dear little lady has found a wonderful forever home.......
see pic below
We wish Suzie and her new mum many happy years together
and are very pleased we were able to do our small part in uniting them.
A big thank you to 'our' Helen who did so much
to make it happen.

Suzie came from the RSPCA pound in Yagoona where she had been surrendered by her
family, who had to move from a house to a flat and they were not allowed to
keep her. She is 9 years old, weighs 1.1 kg and is a sweet natured,
affectionate little lady. She is housetrained and walks well on the lead. She
is not timid, but would be most suited to a home where someone is there most
of the time (retired people) as she loves company. She is delicate because of
her size, and although she is getting along well with her foster friends (two cats,
another Yorkie girl, and a Papillon pup), she couldn't really live with a
large or boisterous dog.
If you think you could give this dear little soul a loving
forever home, please email

THE FIRES IN VICTORIA
Here in Australia we've been totally shocked by the devastation brought about by the
fires in Victoria. Such tragic loss of life and property, words cannot describe it.
Our hearts go out to the victims, the relatives and friends.
The Victorian Canine Association is doing so much to assist their members, many of
whom have lost everything, including their beloved dogs.
The response of the public has been overwhelmingly generous, however if there is any way at all
that you can assist people with pets, please visit
http://www.vca.org.au/index.asp
to find out the various ways in which it is possible to help.
The YORKIE YULE FEST,
a not-for-profit annual event, is pleased to be able to assist with a cash donation.

A Message From the Master Dog Breeders & Associates
Our heart goes out to all owners who have lost their
loved ones in the Victorian bushfires including their pets.
The grief suffered by pet owners after their pet dies is the same as that experienced
after the death of a person. Society in general does not give bereaved pet owners
"permission" to grieve openly especially when there has been a disaster with human
casualties and suffering. Consequently, pet owners often feel isolated and alone. People
who don't understand the pet/owner bond may not understand your pain. Mourning an
animal companion is painful enough due to the loss itself but when compounded by other
losses the owner may be having to deal with it may become overwhelming. You might feel
upset and sad about the loss of your pet and find yourself hiding these feelings from others.
You may believe it is inappropriate, silly or weak to be so concerned about an animal’s death
when a community is facing the human toll for the disaster they all have suffered. Thus, many
communities after a disaster offer no way or only very limited ways to share the loss of a pet with others.
We are here to help.
The MDBA is available to help you with your grief for your animals with trained staff ready to
chat with you and when you’re ready we can also help you to find the perfect pet for you to
share your life with. We’re also available to help out with supplies, services and resources to
make dog owners lives a little easier.
We have Breeders and Rescue people, all of whom work under a strict code of conduct,
who will be only too happy to help you to choose your new pet when the time is right for you.
We welcome all enquiries.

New page 16th Oct - Ripplers' Reporting In..
Thanks to all who have visited this new website.
We have now passed the 2,900 3,400 hit mark.
Welcome to the
OzYorkieRipples website.
OzYorkieRipples began as a small chat group for
people who had Yetholme Yorkies (www.dogs.net.au/yetholmeyorkies).
It has now grown, but remains a primarily 'by invitation' group of friendly people from all parts of the world
who are united by their love of Yorkies and dogs in general.
We, the 'Ripplers', hope you enjoy browsing through our pages,
sharing our exploits, our trips, our gatherings, but most of all, our
love of yorkies!
