OUR FAMILY We live in parkes nsw and with my two children we enjoy showing dogs. I have been showing dogs for 25 years and have shown a number of breeds mainly for other people. I started off with dachshunds and have always had a passion for the dachshunds mini and standards. But i love the standards i have shown smooth and long haired dachshunds and at the moment concentrating on the long haired but we have both smooth and longhair in our family and we will be breeding both early in 2009 the dachshunds are now shown by my son bailey and he has had great success in the ring. We have had best in show and runner up best in show over the years and have won multiple groups with our dogs, we have also had grand champions. Now my kids are older the showing is more about them and we have moved in to the petit basset griffon vandeen which are the easiest dog in the world to live with and they are very addictive. Sarah my daughter is showing summa her first show dog and i am concentrating on alphonse as he is still a baby we are looking forward to the next 12 months with him as we expect a big future for him. He is in partnership with Claire Parker and claire is excited about his future as much as i am and she is very easy to work with. We also enjoy other hobbies outside of dogs but dogs are our passion and our first love and we all get so much enjoyment out of the dog showing win or lose. |
